Nine Month Check Up

Our sweet girl visited Dr. Basey on Monday for her nine month check up. Her official weight is 16 lbs 5 oz, 17th percentile. Her length is 27.17 inches, 26th percentile. It's no surprise we have a small girl, but Dr. Basey assured us that Harper is growing just perfect. She is our perfect tiny little girl!

Nine Months

Our sweet girl is nine months old. I can hardly believe it! She is growing up so fast and will be one before we know it. She has changed so much over this past month and amazes us every day.

It's getting harder and harder to snap a picture of this gal. She is constantly on the move!!

Planning her escape!

Looking at Dada with her toy.

Thinking about smiling

There we go!

Love that crinkled up nose!

Serious face now

Our official 9 month picture!

Her new favorite move. Pulling up on anything and EVERYTHING!!!

She will even get brave and hold on with only one hand! She sure does make Mama nervous!

Harper Ann, at nine months:
-You weigh 16 lbs 4 oz. We'll get your height and percentiles next week at your nine month check up.
-You wear size 3 diapers and size 6 month and 9 month clothes.
-Now that it's summer, you've been going to bed between 8 and 8:30 and sleep a good 12 hours! Last Sunday you slept until 9:45. I couldn't believe it!
-You still have your oatmeal with apple prune juice every morning and a fruit or veggie for lunch and dinner.
-You are starting to eat more table food. You LOVE avocado! I just slice it up, and you're getting real good at feeding yourself. You also ate your first Mexican food on Sunday. You loved the rice and beans! Other table foods you've had are bananas, peas, sweet potatoes, carrots, blueberries (I squeeze out the middle) and watermelon.
-You are getting your first tooth! Mama can feel it, but can't quite see it yet!
-You are getting very good at crawling! You just take off and go so fast now! You crawl everywhere and pull yourself up on anything and everything! You even let go and stoop on your own for just a few seconds. You are fearless. You make me so nervous!
-You love water. You love to drink it out of a sippy cup, a water bottle, or Mama or Dada's cup. You love to swim and take baths too!
-You love other kids! You watch them and squeal to get near them and play with them. You would rather go to Mrs. Bailey's daughters at day care than the other teachers sometimes.
-You are quite the Mama's girl! If I'm not near, you are just fine, but if you see Mama, you want me to get you.
-Your favorite "toys" right now are anything you're not supposed to have! You have so many toys down stairs, but you'd rather play with the basket of diapers and creams and wipes, or the magazines!
-You do like the lion you can walk and push and the monkey that lights up and you put balls in. You are starting to become more interested in books. You like the flap books. Your favorite is the peek-a-boo book.
-You started giving high fives. Usually just to Dada though!

Harper Ann, you are such a happy girl, and make us so happy each and every day. We love you so much!

Game Changer

I'm so excited to say that Miss Harper is crawling! Last Wednesday and Thursday she started crawling short distances, and then Friday she really took off and hasn't stopped since! She gets around really well. She will crawl all the way across the room. Mama and Dada are definitely on our toes now. Next stop is Babies R Us to get gates for our stairs before she figures those out!

A few action shots:

This little miss crawled from the middle of our bedroom to our bathroom and started pulling up on my leg! She's definitely a Mama's girl!

We've already had our first little injury! Harper just couldn't keep up with her hands and feet! I'm sure it's not going to be the last. She's such a champ!

Happy 4th of July

Our little cutie celebrated her first 4th of July at her Gaga and Pa's house. We had a relaxing day playing outside, swinging,
b-b-qing and even doing some fireworks.

Festive girl!

Silly girl

Love all her expressions

Those eyes!!

Swinging!

Harper even got to see all the fireworks because she did not want to go to sleep. Surprisingly, they didn't even scare her. We sat a little further back, and I covered her ears during the big ones. I can't wait until Harper gets to hold her very own sparkler. I know she will love it!

First Zoo Trip

We took Harper to the zoo for the first time just last week. She's still a little young, but she did so good! She just kicked back in her stroller and took it all in. She is such an observant little thing! She loved looking at all the animals and all the people there too!

Camping!

I'm a little behind in posting, but we went camping a few weeks ago. We went to Inks Lake with Mimi, Jeffrey and Caden, and Gaga, Pa, and Brett and Blaine. We had such a good time! Harper loved being outside. We went swimming in the lake every day, went on a few walks, played at the park, and even made s'mores!

Hanging out!

Hat, check! Toys, check!

Loving the outdoors!

Hanging out with Dada

Someone was really thrown off her sleeping schedule. She was not liking the pack and play and a new place, I guess. So Harper stayed up way past her bed time every night and ended up sleeping with Mama and Dada for the first time.

Ready to go on a walk!

Better bring a toy!

A ton of geese!

And she's out! One of the only ways she napped the whole time!

Putting on her sunscreen, so we can go swimming!

I'm ready!!

Mama's girl

She loves the water!

Although we had such a fun trip camping, we were happy to come home to sleep in our own beds! Im so glad Harper loves the outdoors. I can't wait for many more trips in the future!
