Eight Months!

Our Harper Ann is now eight months old! I really cannot believe it! Where has the time gone? One year will be here before we know it. Harper usually isn't a big fan of smiling for the camera, but this time she was all smiles and laughs!

Clapping her hands!

Trying to escape!

Oh wait, there's my sticker!

Bow change.

Now I've got it!

Our girl has been trying REALLY hard to crawl! She will get up and be ready to go, then either sit up, or lay back down. She has wiggled her way around a little bit, so I'm sure in the next week she will have it figured out. Here are some action shots:

Harper, at eight months:
-You weigh about 16 pounds.
-You wear mostly size 6 month clothes and some 9 months. You wear size 2 diapers.
-You nurse or take a 6 oz bottle usually 5 times a day.
-You also eat oatmeal with Apple prune juice for breakfast (because we had some issues pooping) and a fruit or veggie for lunch and dinner. You really like a mix of either butternut squash or sweet potatoes with Apples and pears or peaches.
- You love your sleep! (I think you get that from your mom!) You still go to bed between 7:30 and 8 and sleep until about 8 now that it's summer time!
-You are not a big fan of naps however! It's really hard to get you to nap during the day. You might take two 30 or so minute naps a day, after I nurse you, as long as you're laying in my lap. If I try to move, or put you in your bed, you wake up right away and won't go back to sleep.
-You learned to clap your hands and love to all the time! You also will wave to people.
-You have almost figured out the whole crawling thing.
-A few weeks ago, you learned to go from laying down to sitting up. Sometimes at night when I put you to bed, you will sit up and look around and cry for a minute then plop back down and be out!
-You are such a happy baby! You talk all the time and have such a loud voice (I think you get this from your dad.) I love when you smile so big your little nose wrinkles up! And your laugh just melts my heart!
-You are trying really hard to pull up on things and will do it with a little help. Your legs are getting strong and you aren't as wobbly any more. You will take a few steps while I'm holding you, or helping you push your toys. You still kick your legs like crazy!
-You love to play with your toys and read books. Well you like to eat the books, while mama reads them.
-You like to go swimming and play on your splash pad. You try and grab the water and drink it as it sprays.

Harper Ann, you light up each and every day! We love you!!

Hello Summer!

Summer has officially begun for this Mama. My last day at school was Friday, and I am beyond excited to be home with Harper all summer! This weekend was Harper's first time to go swimming, and she loved it! She was kicking her feet like crazy and splashing! She recently has really started to like drinking water. When she realized the pool was water, and she could dip her head down and get a drink, it was bad news for us! I could hardly get her to stop trying to drink it! Silly girl!

Pool ready!

Sunglasses!

Love my girl!!
Swimming with Dada!

Loving my float!

We also spent some time hanging out in our backyard. Harper tried out the swing on our playset for the first time and loved it!! Her face says it all.

I can't wait to make many more memories this summer. Bring on the outdoors, water, and fun!!

Harper's Baptism

I'm proud to say that our baby girl is now baptized. Last weekend we celebrated Harper's baptism at St. Helena's Church. She did so well, and we are so grateful to all of our family that came! Harper is so very lucky to have her Auntie Jenette and Uncle Jim as her God parents.

My beautiful girl in the dress that her Gaga and her siblings wore, her aunts wore, and her two cousins also wore. How special!
